WHO CAN APPLY TO THE DALE CARNEGIE YOUTH PROGRAM?The Dale Carnegie Youth Program is open to students ages 14-18. In addition, we offer classes for college students on demand.

HOW TO REGISTER?You have two options to register for a course: · Online · By phone Register Online The fastest and easiest way to register for our courses is online. You may browse the courses, add them to your cart and then complete the online registration process. Register by Phone See below for instructions: Call At: Phone: (787) 244-4862 Days: Monday through Friday Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 Classroom location information will be posted on the website approximately one week before the course begins. Registration is not completed until the full payment is processed. Payments will be accepted by credit card, check, cashier’s check or money order.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?The Dale Carnegie Generation Next Course has the same learning objectives as the World-Famous Dale Carnegie Skills for Success Course, adapted and put into context for teenagers 14-18 years old. As part of our commitment to support the development of the next generation of leaders in Puerto Rico, and hence the island's future, we will be offering Generation Next for a limited time with a registration price of $550 per student (original registration starts at $995).

HOW DO THE COURSES WORK?The courses are interactive, participatory and are taught over several weeks. Time-phased learning helps to convert the new skills into lifelong proficiencies. Instructors combine all the elements needed in just one program, including: presentation, practice, coaching, open discussions, and real-life experiences to help participants improve their skills on the spot.

WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS?Students will have the benefit of working with instructors that coach multinational employees to help them become a better leaders and version of themselves. Dale Carnegie is known for having one of the most rigorous and demanding instructor training certifications. Instructor works primarily in business and other fields and it is required to be certified to train our adult and young. Dale Carnegie requires continuous development and recertification annually.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL THE COURSE TAKE?Depending on the subject, the formats will vary, but most of them will require a one-day weekly attendance of four (4) hours for six (6) days.

WHERE WILL THE COURSE BE HELD?Public courses will be held in a training facility with classrooms that meet the course requirements. Locations are included in each open course description.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?Each class has a maximum capacity of 20 students, except the “High Impact Presentations for Youth” or “Public Speaking Mastery” courses which have a capacity of up to 12 students.

WHICH STUDENTS CAN BE FOUND IN A GROUP CLASS?You will normally find a mix of students from the community in regular open courses unless you are joining a specific school program where you may be in enrolled in a class of students from your same school.

WHEN DO THE COURSES BEGIN?Courses start every four (4) to six (6) weeks, but there may be a waiting list depending on the number of signups for each course. Skills are learned through practice. They are not learned by listening to lectures and tapes or by reading books and magazines. The methodology is conducted over a space period of time to implement the learning resulting in new habits that will remain with the participant for life. Great things will happen in the classroom, but what really matters is what we apply in the real world to experience real breakthroughs!.

WHAT IS THE PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH?Dale Carnegie courses are highly interactive, focusing on student’s communication skills and a very active teamwork. The instructor is a communication’s facilitator instead of a lecturer. Regular reflective tasks and a personalized action plan with autonomous learning goals will ensure that students take their learning out of the classroom into their real-world environment.

WHAT IS A STUDENT COACH?Student coaches are previous graduates of the Youth Program who volunteer to come back and work with other students. Coaches are there to be used as a resource, track a student’s growth, and encourage a student to push themselves outside their comfort zone when appropriate. Student coaches can take the program for a second time. They gain tremendous additional coaching from the Dale Carnegie Instructor and further develop their leadership abilities.
